Now is it at all not possible for aliens to be out there? During the Renaissance folks in Europe never thought there were others anywhere else...I think we need to wait and watch. & JP , just in case there are UFOs as Arthur C Clarke believed then you will surely be pulled over for profanity.

As I said earlier Jung has shown in brilliant book about how UFO sitings are real for the guys who see them...only thing is that people see UFOs as a projection of their own minds, in other words, they are crazy who see them ... hehe hahaha!

you know - Life appeared about as soon as it was possibly able to on this planet. The ubiquity of the patterns and symmetries of self-organising complexity in nature implies, quite concretely to my mind, that life is as likely to pop up everywhere else as well. There are hundreds of millions of stars in this galaxy alone amongst hundreds of millions of stars in the observable Universe and it is a quite serious scientific conjecture that this may not in fact be the only Universe but may be one among a potentially infinite number of Universes. Scientist are coming to believe that there are many solar systems similar to our own. It is a matter of statistics that if the natural processes required to birth life happened here, they will happen elsewhere.
Point is - there are innumerably many places where life can arise and I think it has done so all over the Cosmos. When we speak of intelligent life - do we man an overweight slob with a can of beer watching the football on the TV who’s entire lifestyle is supported by the exploitation of others peoples and the military might to enforce this ”right” ? Do we mean us ? Is our specific kind of goal-driven sentience the only kind imaginable ? Of course not.
On spectroscopic analysis of materials in interstellar space amino acids (i.e. the basic building blocks of life ”as we know it”) have been found in enormous clouds.
Life is there. UFOs in Jung’s sense as being a projection of your mind take a new twist when your ontological conditions of consciousness suggest that the human mind actually actively constructs reality, a la the observation problem in Quantum Mechanics et al.
Anyway... as has been said by wiser and probably smarter observers of the cosmological-existential situation we find ourselves in: why go looking for intelligent life elsewhere when it’s existence here has not yet been demonstrated. :P
The physics of time travel are now well understood - it merely remains an engineering problem. Who’s to say that these little shiny vehicles with their diminutive occupants are not our own species from a possible future...
